WordPress mapping .com to a deleted blog — help me transition!

  I deleted an old blog (clairemcneill.wordpress.com), to which I had clairemcneill.com (domain from godaddy) direct. I switched my .com to tumblr, decided I didn’t want it, and now I’ve created a new wordpress blog (clairefmcneill.wordpress.com) — and I want clairemcneill.com to be the domain mapped to it. But WordPress said “This domain has already been mapped to a WordPress.com blog.” Please help me map clairefmcneill.wordpress.com to clairemcneill.com. Thank you.
